The Florence International Antiques Fair was set up in 1959 through the inspiration of the Bellini brothers. For Mina Gregori, Director of the Fondazione Roberto Longhi of Florence, it takes its cue from Stefano Bardini and the way in which, between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, he succeeded in spreading through Europe the Italian taste for antiques that was a perfect synthesis between knowledge, passion and a refined aesthetic sense. This love of the work of art is renewed with every edition, rendering the relationship between the antique and the collector surprising and exclusive in the dynamic exchange of the objects present at the Fair.
